Ok, I'm behind again, so I'm updating the last two weekends!
Two weeks ago: My sister came to visit before she started college...which is crazy to think she's old enough to go there! But, it's exciting...college was super fun for me! We didn't do too much exciting stuff, but it was fun to just chat and hang out. Friday, we went to Big Bams Burgers (know as "Triple B" by a friend of mine). We watched a couple movies that night. Sat, we ran around shopping and running errands. That night, we took her to Longhorn Steakhouse for some delicious food. We were going to go to Dave and Buster's, but were too full and tired. So, we headed back to the house and watched another movie. Sunday, she wanted to meet up at the Royal's game with some friends, so we drove her out there since she's not used to driving in "the big city." The rest of the day, Michael and I just relaxed.
This Last weekend, we were pretty busy. Friday night, we headed over to Michelle and Nate's house to celebrate his birthday. It was fun to hang out with friends and grill up some good food.
Sat, Michael worked, then went to a friend's house and I went to help assist a photographer at a wedding all day/night. It was a good experience. I didn't realize how much work and effort photographers really put into doing a wedding. By the end of the night, I was exhausted and my back and arms hurt from carrying heavy cameras and bags! I need to work out! I confirmed my feelings towards wedding photography, I do not want to do it unless it's very small and for someone I know well....and it will not be any time soon. I did learn some things and hopefully I helped her out too! It was interesting being at a wedding as a vendor and not as a guest. I think for now, I'll just enjoy the guest side...with drinks, dancing, and cake! :) I'm looking forward to my brother's wedding next month!
Sunday, we slept in...which was wonderful! Then, we went to the Legend's and out to Michael's parents house. Morgan's birthday was on Sat, so everyone came to her birthday dinner. It was good and great to see everyone!
Tonight, I'm excited to get off work. One of my friends from college, Jody, is getting married in Feb. She lives out in CA. She is back in the KC area for a few days and us bridesmaids and her are getting together to try on dresses and then go to dinner to catch up! Can't wait! Hopefully, we'll get plans made for the bach party too! We may all meet in Vegas, that should be a blast!
