Midget Races...and more...

Last weekend was busy, but fun. Friday night I had my holiday party at work. It was a nice, refreshing party where everyone just relaxed and ate bbq and had a few beers. Afterwards, Michael and I went to date night. Since I'd already ate, I just got a salad and dessert...yummy!

On our way back home, he took my by a business on Metcalf...they have a wonderful display of lights that are in sync to a radio station.

Sat, I ran around trying to finish Christmas shopping while Michael worked. After he got off, be brought Braydan home and we headed to Kemper Arena for Midget Races. Ok, ok...before you get too excited at the images your head, they are little race cars on a dirt track. It was still fun though....Braydan races a micro car, but he didn't this weekend.

Sunday, we headed to Michael's parents for a dinner with all his extended family.

That evening I met up with some of my friends for our Christmas Exchange at Tomfooleries on the plaza. It's always great to see friends! Monday; Lynsey, Jeff, Tyler, Morgan, and Jason came over. We had spaghetti and watched Christmas movies...it was a perfect way to put us in the holiday spirit! This week has been crazy busy...I'll post soon about Christmas!

Won't you take me to...Funky Town?!

Ok, we've been super busy these last couple weeks! Can't believe Christmas is next week! We've been working on shopping, but still have a few more to get...then we need to get busy wrapping!
This last weekend, Michael and I went to date night at Texas Roadhouse. Sat, night, we met up with some friends and headed to Funky Town. It's always an experience...an interesting one. It's a good time, but you don't want to go more than a couple times a year.

Comments = Food Donations

Ok, I got this wonderful idea from Josh Solar's blog. He asked for bloggers to copy and spread the idea! For every comment that is left on either of my blogs on any post, I'll donate a canned food item to Harvesters. They are a wonderful organization that helps thoughout KC! This way, I get the excitement of reading comments and you get the satisfaction of helping give food to the needy!

Here's the rules to get this started! All you have to do is:

Leave me a comment on any post in either blog, and I'll donate a can for each comment!

Thanks!

The Williams Family

On Thanksgiving, Michael and I met my wonderful friend Karen in at the lake in Horton. She wanted to get a good family picture for their Christmas cards. It was super cold, so we did them fast! The kids were cold, but still had lots of energy to run around and play! To see more click here.

My Birthday and Thanksgiving!

This was a very exciting and jam packed weekend! Wed night, Michael and I headed to Horton. We celebrated Michael and Jason's birthday with my family. It was fun, we hung out at Jason and Chelsie's new house. They've done a lot of work to it and it looks great! Thursday was Thanksgiving and my birthday. It was a little unconventional. My cousin Kyle Domann was in a car accident the night before by Atchison. He is ok, just super sore...his cousin was hurt pretty bad though. He still is critical. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Since we didn't have dinner at my Aunt's, we met the rest of the family at Perkins in Topeka. I've never ate out on Thanksgiving, but it was actually a nice dinner. After dinner, Kelsey came back with Michael and I to Shawnee. Michael had to work on Friday and Sat, but Kelsey and I got in line at Walmart at 4:15 in the morning. It really wasn't too much caios. We ended up getting the TV that we wanted and a few other great priced items! But, I have no desire to go back next year. The worst part was waiting in line for a couple of hours, but we came home and took a nice long nap... now we have a fun toy! That night we went to Houlihan's for dinner then watched a movie that night. Kelsey left Sat morning, it was fun having her visit!

Sat night, we celebrated my birthday with friends. We ate at TGI Friday's, where I got an awesome balloon tiara and septor. Then, met up with more friends at Kite's. It was a great time, with a good turnout!

Sunday, we got up and met Michael's family at the tree farm to pick out everyone's trees...since we had tagged ours a few weeks ago, we got to pick it up. That afternoon we got together again for Thanksgiving dinner and to celebrate my birthday. Dinner was great and I got awesome dessert plates from his family! Love them!!!

New Photography Blog...

I decided I needed a more professional blog. I have been going on more and more photography sessions and needed a place to show them off without all the random other posts from my every day life. I'll still update this blog, but the new one will only have photography related posts! I've been trying to learn more and expand my knowledge on lighting, flashes, Photoshop, and other camera options. If anyone has any advice or tips, I'm always open to them! Check it out to see what I'm up to, click here.

Great weekend...

This was a very relaxing weekend...just what I needed! Friday we had a chili cook-off at work....and, I won!!! That was pretty exciting for me! I got a $50 gift card to le gourmet chef and my name will be engraved on a trophy that will be sitting on my desk for a year! Friday night, we went to Longhorn Steakhouse for date night.

Sat, Michael worked and I brought him and his co-workers leftover chili and then got a few birthday presents for people's coming up! That night, Michael went to hang out at Ben's and I ended up staying home and just enjoying the evening with some me-time. It was so nice not to have to go anywhere! Sunday, after church we ate at 5 guys burgers...it was yummy! Then, we headed to Tyler's birthday party. I can't believe he's 2 years old! It goes so fast! He loved his presents....he loves trucks!!!

Also, I have to brag on Michael a bit. Yesterday he had the day off work. When I got home, he had done a ton of raking and bagging of leaves, cleaned up other yard stuff, unclogged the gutters, and had hung up the outside Christmas lights! He's the best!

Family Time

Friday night, Michael and I went to Johnny Carino's for date night. Sat, Michael worked and I met my best-friend from college and her family for a photo session! It was soooo cold that morning, there were even flurries coming down! But, the family is tough and we got some great ones! I'm still editing them, but here's a few teasers for Jackie!

Sat night, Lynsey, Jeff, Morgan, and Jason came over for game night. We ended up playing guitar hero all night! Even with never playing before, Jason kicked our butts! Good job Jason!

Sunday, Michael and I went to pick out a Christmas tree! We decided to go early this year to get the perfect one. After much hunting, we found it! You can see how much Michael loves it, since he's hugging it! Yea, can't wait to pick it up in a couple weeks!
