Andrew and Ryleigh

On Sat, I headed to Topeka to see my friend, Karen. We scheduled a outdoor photo shoot for her two kids, Andrew and Ryleigh. We had a blast! We went to Gage Park and found all kinds of great backgrounds. The kids did great, I'm sure we wore them out with all the work they did! I can see how busy they keep Karen, they were running from place to place, with me barely keeping up! Thanks to the Williams family for some great experience and practice! You guys look great and it was fun to play with you for the day!

Camping with Lola...

This weekend, we decided to go to Lake Perry and set up camp! Friday, we packed up the truck and headed out with Lola. We found a great place next to the water with lots of shade to keep us cool. Michael set up our new tent...it's huge and he can walk around in it! Luckily, we picked a great weekend. It wasn't crazy hot and there was a nice breeze. Lola had the best time! She loved being around us the entire time, ate good, and played lots! We enjoy cooking, we made a few really good meals. We had two foil meals with veggies, one chicken and one beef stew....they were great recipes. That's Michael's favorite part, making meals and playing with fire. We visited his parent's boat while we were there and swam at their slip. Lola decided she liked the water, but would much rather chill on the raft instead of swim. That night, some friends met us back at our campsite and we just hung out. Sunday, we packed up and headed back to home. It was a good and relaxing weekend. Lola slept great Sunday night!

Engagement Pictures

So, one of my friends from Pitt found me on myspace. He lives in Shawnee too! He asked me to take his and his fiance's engagement pictures. I was up for the challange! So, here's a few of my favorites. As you can probably tell, I love black and white pictures!

4th of July

Well, we had an eventful 4th of July! Tuesday night, Michael and I headed out to Lake Perry to spend the 4th with his parents. Michael's dad has a boat out there and spends most weekends on it. It's fun to hangout. Everyone on the slip are friends and they just chill all weekend, and it's relaxing to just swim and not worry about anything...a mini-vacation! Anyways, so we got out there and took the boat around to the dam just in time to see the first of the fireworks show. It was really good! And, the weather was very calm and nice and cool! It was a good night!

On the 4th, we got up and ate breakfast and laid around. Then, we decided to head out to party cove. It was hot, sunny, and we were ready to get some sun and swimming in! About 15 min after we got out in the water, a radio warning came though saying a storm with 50 mile winds was on it's way. 5 min. later, we saw lightning! You should have seen the people! Everyone out at the cove jumped in their boats and headed for the docks/slips! Seriously, it reminded me of survival of the fittest! Everyone wanted to beat the others to the dock! The storm headed in pretty fast, it was a little difficult to get into our slip with the choppy water and wind, but we made it. It rained like crazy with some lightning and thunder and lots of wind! Here's some pictures! Once it calmed down, we had a good grilled dinner and a movie, then headed back to the city! FYI - I sent my picts in to Fox 4 news, they showed them on the lake report! My few seconds of fame!

Senior Pictures

Last weekend, my sister, Kelsey, came to visit. We took her senior pictures! If you don't know already, my major was in Commercial Graphics with an emphasis in photography. But, I really haven't done much with that. I have been doing a few things to build up a portfolio. Thanks to everyone who has let me practice on them! So, anyways, we took some back home in Horton a few weeks ago around the farm for a good country look. Then, took the rest here in KC. There were some really cools ones taken at Union Station and the Liberty Memorial downtown! Here's a preview of a few! Kelsey did great!
