A truck through a building, a party, and a senior photo shoot!

We had an exciting day at work on Friday. A truck ran into our building! You can watch the story on the news here. Click on the video on the right side of the page. Also, here are a few pictures that I took.
Saturday, Michael worked and I finished cleaning and making food for his birthday party. That night, we had people over to celebrate his birthday. It was a nice relaxed evening. We had a lot of fun!
Sunday, I got up early and did a senior picture photo shoot. I'm re-touching them now. I'll post them soon!

Pittsburg, KS Homecoming

Friday night, Michael and I went out to eat with Geoff and Allison. We had to work out all the details for our big trip to Pittsburg, KS for homecoming. After dinner we ran to Wal-mart and then did some packing. Sat, we picked up Geoff and Allison around 8:30 and headed to Pittsburg. We had lunch at Mall Deli, which is fantastic as ever. If you've never been, you need to! It's a cute deli inside the mall (get it? Mall Deli!) Anyways it opens at 10:30 and is packed past lunch time! We met up with some friends of mine from college and did some tailgating before going in to watch the game. Afterwards, we checked into our hotel to freshen up. We went to dinner at Chatters and then hit McCarthy's, 505, and Moorman's. It was fun being back where we used to hang out. I ran into friends, which made it even better! Sunday, we got up and ate breakfast at Harry's Cafe, then headed back to KC.
Sunday afternoon we met Michael's family at a pumpkin patch in DeSoto. Tyler loved picking out the pumpkins and was sad that he couldn't get all of them! After pumpkins, everyone came to our house for some chili and cornbread. It was good! Tyler took some cute pictures at the pumpkin patch. I decided to play a bit with different filters. So, here's a couple of my favorites!

Ok, I found this fun thing to do with words from my cousin's blog. It takes the most words used in blogs and creates a word cloud. You can customize each one!

Michelle's Birthday!

Friday Michael and I met some of his friends out at KCIR. They were drag racing a couple cars. It made for an eventful date night. Sat, Michael worked and I went to the dog park with Morgan and Jason. It was fun! The dogs love it! Lola now knows exactly where we're going and as soon as we get there...she's off running towards the lake!
Kristin and I have been planning a birthday party for our friend Michelle. She just turned 30! We had dinner reservations at Margarita Mama's out at the Legends. The food was pretty good! MM's is part of three different bars that are all connected, so we stayed there and danced the night away! Michelle had a great time....and so did everyone else!

Sunday, Michael and I didn't do much...which was nice! And, yes, there's more picts of Cheeto...I can't help it, so cute! But, I did include Tute, Zoe, and Lola cause I love them too!

American Royal and Friends

This weekend was the American Royal BBQ! My work helps sponsor a tent each year, so we get to go eat and drink for free. We got out of work early Friday, so Dana and I headed down there. If you've never been...it's an experience! Go early, because it gets packed!!! There's over 800 tents of people bbq-ing and partying! Our tent had a couple other sponsors, food, drinks, and a dj. Michael and some of my other friends met us there. We had a great time!

Sat, Morgan and I went to the dog park. Malcolm and Lola love going. We're going to try to go each week! It's great exercise for us and for them! That afternoon, my friend Karen came to visit! It was great to have a girl's day. We went to the movies, out to eat, and caught up on everything! We need to do it more often!

Sunday, Michael and I took it easy. We got some things done, and went on date night that night!

Jason and Chelsie's Wedding

This weekend was very exciting for us. My brother got married! Congrats to Jason and Chelsie! Friday, we headed to Horton mid-afternoon. They had the rehearsal and then a dinner afterwards. That night, we hung out with the family.
Sat, we went to the church and hung out while they took pictures and did last minute details. Michael was an usher and I helped with the guest book and cake cutting: which I found out, it's not as easy as it looks! The wedding was very nice. Chelsie was very pretty in her gown. Jason looked very nice in his tux. What a cute couple! The reception was lots of fun. We had a great time chatting with family and friends, and then dancing it up on the dance floor! Sunday, we went in to watch Jason and Chelsie open presents. They got a lot of fun stuff! We left after that so they could relax a bit, they were both pretty exhausted! They left Monday for St. Louis on their honeymoon.
