Going Home...

This weekend, Michael and I headed to Horton to see my family. We hadn't been back for about 3 months. We had a great time. It's always nice to go to the farm. It's like a mini vacation. We brought Lola. She didn't like sleeping outside, but loved all the space to play and the new smells. While we were there we played outside, had game night, and celebrated my mom's birthday. Also, she just re-did her kitchen. It looks great! We hope to make it home more often!

Social Suppers and the Lake

On Friday, Kelli and I decided to try something new for lunch. We headed to Social Suppers in Prarie Village during our lunch break at work. It's really neat, you go and choose which dinners you want to make, then follow the directions on each station to prepare your dishes. They are ready to be thown in the freezer for when you are want an easy meal. Check it out at... http://www.socialsuppers.com/ You can also arrange to have parties there!

This weekend was busy, but fun. Friday night, we hung out with friends around a fire pit. It was cold, but the fire helped. Sat, we headed to Lake Perry for customer appreciation. They had a dinner, a dj, and prizes. We had a lot of fun chatting and hanging out. And, I won a microwave! I never win, so that was so exciting!!! Sunday, we didn't do too much. I cleaned the house and it looks so much better! I always feel good when it's clean.

Photography Portfolio

Ok, I just added links to the photo sessions that I have taken. They are displayed on the right of this page. They are not all of each session, since that would be a ton, but some of my favorites from each one! I'll keep adding to them as I do more. I figure the more I take, the better they are going to get! (or at least I hope!) I'd love to hear feedback on them too! Thanks to everyone for all the support I've been getting!

T-Rex

Thurs. night, we celebrated Ron and Janis's anv. We had a nice dinner for them. Lynsey made this awesome family tree. It was a great, creative present!~

So this weekend wasn't too eventful, which is nice once in awhile. Friday for date night, we headed out to the Legends and tried the T-Rex Restaurant. It was pretty good. The atmosphere was really cool and different! You felt like you were back in the dinosaur age and everything came to life! Here's a couple picts...they use dry ice for presentation for drinks and desserts!

Sat, Michael worked and I worked on catching up with my scrap book. I'm almost there! Sat night, we met Lynsey and Jeff in Bonner to play a little pool. They brought a couple with them, who we also enjoy hanging out with. It was fun to chat with them!

Sunday, we worked around the house and got some things done and had a relaxing evening.

Labor Day Weekend

It was great to have a long weekend! Friday night, as usual, we went on date night. We headed to Old Chicago...the pizza was wonderful! Sat, we drove out to Topeka to talk to a car guy for Michael. He has a '65 Impala SS and wanted to see how much for body work and a paint job. We also visited my Great Aunt and Uncle, Grace and Norris. It was good to visit with them and the family! Sat night, we had a party to go to for Lisa's b-day and her roommate's going away party. It was a lot of fun and I got to see many friends from Pitt there! Sunday, we headed to Lake Perry to spend it with Michael's family. It was relaxing and I got some sun! Mon, we did some cleaning and then relaxed. It was a nice weekend!

Lynsey sent me an email yesterday asking if I could take Tyler's 9 month pictures. I was very excited! Tyler is so cute, and Michael and I's nephew! We had a lot of fun and he did really good! Here's so of my favorites of him!

Garage Sale and Friends

This was a very, very busy weekend. We finally had our garage sale that we have been preparing for! Thursday night, we worked on putting everything out on tables and drop cloths. We didn't get to bed until 1am...but we're ready for the next day. On Friday, Janis (Michael's mom) came over bright and early and worked the sale the entire day while we were at work. She had a lot of customers through out the day. Sat, we all were there to help. Lynsey, Jeff, and Tyler came over late morning to help too. My nephew is super cute! We had fun and sold a lot of stuff. We are donating everything that didn't sell. There's still a few large items that we are going to try to sell on Craig's List, so we'll see how that goes. But, we feel that we did pretty good.

I also had a friend that was in KS from CA to visit. A few of us girls' met her and her b/f in Lawrence at Carlos O'Kelly's...one of our favorite places from college! We had a great time catching up.

Sunday, was a good day to relax and catch up on much needed sleep. It was a good, long weekend!

Family Time

Friday, we celebrated Morgan's Birthday. We had dinner with the whole family at Red Lobster and then headed to Lynsey's for cake and presents. I think she had a great time! We stayed and hung out with the family the rest of the night.

Sat, my parents and Kelsey came to town. They dropped Kelsey off at my house and then headed to Hen House. They sell some of their beef there and went to do a meet and greet with the customers by handing out samples. Kelsey and I had a good girl's day. We did some shopping, had lunch, visited our parents, and then visited Michael at his work. That evening, we all went to Cinzetti's for dinner, then back to our house to finish up the night.

Sunday, we relaxed. Michael's mom came over to do more with going through stuff in the garage and basement. We're almost done and we'll be having a garage sale this coming weekend! If you are interested in antiques, furniture, or other random things....come over!

Browntown and Cleaning...

Well, this weekend was interesting, exhausting, and very productive. Friday night we went to watch our friend's brother in the band, Browntown. They are very fun and great to listen to and watch! We spent Sat and Sunday cleaning, organizing, and throwing away all kinds of stuff! We are buying the house that we currently live in. It's Michael's grandparent's old house, which his mom owns now. So, it's filled with everything from their lives, and we have to go through it. Michael's mom, Jeff, Lynsey, and Tyler all came over and we worked hard! We filled a huge dumpster full and are waiting for another one to be delivered for next weekend's work! We are making progress and will be having a garage sale in a few weeks. If you are into antiques, let me know! Can't wait for it to be done and it to be "Our House"! We plan to do some remodeling to make it our own. I'll have to take before and after pictures!

Andrew and Ryleigh

On Sat, I headed to Topeka to see my friend, Karen. We scheduled a outdoor photo shoot for her two kids, Andrew and Ryleigh. We had a blast! We went to Gage Park and found all kinds of great backgrounds. The kids did great, I'm sure we wore them out with all the work they did! I can see how busy they keep Karen, they were running from place to place, with me barely keeping up! Thanks to the Williams family for some great experience and practice! You guys look great and it was fun to play with you for the day!
